BREAKING New WWE Champion AJ Styles Crowned in England

  • Breezango defeated The Colons in the dark match before the main card started.
  • The show kicks off with a video package hyping the WWE World Title match between Jinder Mahal and AJ Styles for later in the show.
  • Shane McMahon comes out to thank everyone for attending and promises that General Manager Daniel Bryan will return to the blue brand next week. He brings out The New Day who say they didn’t mean to cost Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose the RAW Tag Team Titles during their mini-invasion of RAW last night. Sami Zayn & Kevin Owens come out, and they tell Shane that RAW will beat the blue brand because of him. Shane responds by putting Sami in a match with Kofi. And, Kofi defeated Sami via pinfall. Owens attacked Kofi after the match, but Big E made the save.
  • Renee Young interviews Jinder Mahal, who promises to beat AJ Styles in their WWE Title match.
  • Rusev and Randy Orton face off for a spot on the SmackDown Live Survivor Series team. And, of course, Rusev loses. Poor RuRu; he’s getting so badly utilized by WWE.
  • Backstage segment with Ellsworth and Becky before their match with trash talk from both. All of the members of the SmackDown Women’s Survivor Series team are around the ring for this one. Ellsworth tries to escape, but Charlotte tosses him back in to Becky. Becky makes him submit to the Disarmher, and Carmella superkicks him after the match is over.
  • Promo for The Shield returning to RAW on Monday.
  • Shane announces Nattie vs Charlotte for the SmackDown Women’s Title for next week’s show.
  • Chad Gable and Shelton Benjamin defeated The Usos via count-out in their SmackDown Tag Team Title match.
  • Baron Corbin will face Sin Cara for the US Title and New Day will face Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn on next week’s show. Maybe it’s just me, but it looked like this chop block may have legit hurt Jay.
  • And, now it’s time for AJ vs Jinder for the WWE World Title. Sorry, but Jinder posing in the ring just makes me nauseous; don’t need to see that. Jinder pretty much manhandling AJ in the first part of the match, tossing him around outside, throwing him over the announce table, throwing him back in the ring. There were some scary moments from Mahal in this with his tossing AJ around and maneuvering out of position for the Styles Clash; they made me nervous for AJ’s safety. AJ locked in the Calf Crusher, but Jinder escaped. The Singh Brothers pull Jinder out of the ring after AJ hits the 450 Splash, and AJ goes after both of them on the outside of the ring. AJ hits the Phenomenal Forearm and beats Mahal, winning the WWE World Title and will head to Survivor Series to face Brock Lesnar.

Highly passionate MMA Journalist, and I've followed the sport ever since my favorite fighter, Vitor Belfort won the heavyweight tournament at UFC 12. After that I've tried to go to every local MMA event around the Gulf Coast and surrounding areas and decided to make it a point to have a career in some aspect in the fighting sport other than fighting in general (didn't want to ruin my face). I'm currently enrolled at Southeastern Louisiana University working towards a degree in Communication. I cover MMA, Boxing and Football for The Daily Star newspaper in my hometown of Hammond, Louisiana, in addition to working as a promotional writer for a local Boxing promotion known as BoxnCar and I cover boxing for 8countnews.com however SciFighting.com is my home. My main goal is to bring more publicity to MMA in my area and to the sport as a whole as all of us involved with the sport are merely scratching the surface and laying the foundation of what mixed martial arts competition will be further down the road.
