Jeff Hardy was the most recent guest on Chris Jericho’s “Talk Is Jericho” podcast. In this excerpt, Jeff responds to being asked if the “Broken” gimmick will ever be seen on WWE television:

“No [there was no talk of using the Broken gimmick in WWE], because we did the Ring Of Honor pay-per-view. That’s when we got the whole cease and desist letter; they said if we use it, ‘we’re going to sue you’ and sue Ring Of Honor. I think Dish Network, they didn’t air the pay-per-view because of the threat or whatever because it said the Broken Universe characters were specifically developed for Matt and Jeff Hardy and that is so far from the [truth].”

“Yeah, [the Hardys developed the characters] and even Billy Corgan. I love Billy, man, he was right out there with us, man, throughout two long nights of filming. Yeah, yeah, he almost owned it and I think, honestly, I’d probably still be there now if it still would have worked out. It’s cool to hear people chant [‘Brother Nero’] even here, hopefully, one of these days, I will emerge as The Brother Nero.”

Highly passionate MMA Journalist, and I've followed the sport ever since my favorite fighter, Vitor Belfort won the heavyweight tournament at UFC 12. After that I've tried to go to every local MMA event around the Gulf Coast and surrounding areas and decided to make it a point to have a career in some aspect in the fighting sport other than fighting in general (didn't want to ruin my face). I'm currently enrolled at Southeastern Louisiana University working towards a degree in Communication. I cover MMA, Boxing and Football for The Daily Star newspaper in my hometown of Hammond, Louisiana, in addition to working as a promotional writer for a local Boxing promotion known as BoxnCar and I cover boxing for 8countnews.com however SciFighting.com is my home. My main goal is to bring more publicity to MMA in my area and to the sport as a whole as all of us involved with the sport are merely scratching the surface and laying the foundation of what mixed martial arts competition will be further down the road.
