Cody Rhodes went to Twitter fairly recently, and stated on Twitter that he has not signed with any company. Wrestling Inc. was told from sources close to the situation that Cody is working with ROH, and signed a new deal with them. It’s not known how long the length of the deal is.
Rhodes was a part of Impact Wrestling tapings last March, and was not at any very recent tapings. Under his new deal, he can still take outside bookings while signed with ROH and has a similar deal like The Young Bucks have with the company. It’s being said that he just cannot do TV with another US wrestling company. Also like the Young Bucks deal, Cody can still be allowed to sell his own merchandise through ProWrestlingTees and handle his own outside bookings while also being under a guaranteed deal.
For those out of the loop on what ROH has him doing: He’s currently booked to be chasing the ROH title as an “outsider,” which could be why he is denying signing with them.
