Roman Reigns will defend the WWE U.S. championship in a triple threat match on Monday Night Raw — against WWE Universal Champion Kevin Owens and his “best friend” Chris Jericho.
Line them up and I'll run right thru 'em. #AhhhhYessir #Raw https://t.co/k5NEsGtVFI

This is not looking like a great sign for Kevin Owens’ Universal Championship reign. With Reigns getting a title shot at the Royal Rumble against Owens, it would make sense for the Samoan to drop the title here — to Chris Jericho, so that he’s not carrying both titles should he defeat Owens at the Royal Rumble.
It’s certainly an odd match to book.
The WWE is loading up next Monday’s show. Shawn Michaels and The Undertaker are scheduled to make appearances at the Jan. 9 show.
Raw is attempting to stack the show because it will go up against college football’s national championship game.
