In a video published earlier today on 5 Star Wrestling’s YouTube channel, Ryback claims to have defeated the current WWE Champion: AJ Styles on “Many different occasions”, which if true lends credence to comments he’s made in the past.

Ryback walked out on the WWE earlier this year, claiming that the company had lied to him and stating that Vince McMahon had personally told the big guy to “Squash the little twerp” when referring to Styles. AJ has since responded, saying that he believes what Ryback said “may have been true”.

Coincidently, the current WWE Champion’s final indie dates, before signing with WWE and debuting at the Royal Rumble, were in the UK as part of the 5 Star Wrestling tour; which featured an all star line up and the long awaited dream match between AJ Styles and Rey Mysterio. During the tour, John Morrison defeated AJ Styles to become the first ever 5 Star Champion and the video posted today is Ryback responding to John Morrison, vowing to defend the 5 Star Championship against anyone willing to show up in Dundee on Saturday the 28th of January 2017, (the night before the Royal Rumble).

If you’re in Scotland, the line up for the 5 Star Wrestling show is incredibly strong, featuring John Morrison, Ryback, Drew Galloway, Carlito, PJ Black, Jay Lehal, Global Force Champion: Nick Aldis and a host of other top British stars including Jimmy Havoc, Joe Coffey, Mark Haskins, Joe Hendry, Kid Fite and Zack Gibson.

Highly passionate MMA Journalist, and I've followed the sport ever since my favorite fighter, Vitor Belfort won the heavyweight tournament at UFC 12. After that I've tried to go to every local MMA event around the Gulf Coast and surrounding areas and decided to make it a point to have a career in some aspect in the fighting sport other than fighting in general (didn't want to ruin my face). I'm currently enrolled at Southeastern Louisiana University working towards a degree in Communication. I cover MMA, Boxing and Football for The Daily Star newspaper in my hometown of Hammond, Louisiana, in addition to working as a promotional writer for a local Boxing promotion known as BoxnCar and I cover boxing for 8countnews.com however SciFighting.com is my home. My main goal is to bring more publicity to MMA in my area and to the sport as a whole as all of us involved with the sport are merely scratching the surface and laying the foundation of what mixed martial arts competition will be further down the road.
