Update on Ric Flair, Sasha Banks Concussed and WWE “Best of Canada” DVD

The Wrestling Observer is reporting that WWE women’s wrestler Sasha Banks is currently suffering from a “significant” concussion following an injury that she sustained at the May 15th WWE live event in Charlottesville, Virginia. The report further states that Sasha will have to undergo the company’s Impact concussion testing before she is declared fit enough to return.

The report also cites sources that claim Sasha’s injury will likely force WWE to change their plans for SummerSlam regarding Sasha, as she was reportedly scheduled to face Charlotte for the WWE Women’s Championship at the event. Even though SummerSlam is not scheduled to take place until August, Sasha’s concussion is said to be serious enough that she may not be cleared to return in time for the event.

WWE Hall of Famer Ric Flair is still signed to his WWE contract despite the on-air spit with his daughter WWE Women’s Champion Charlotte on Monday’s Raw, according to PWInsider.

Flair is not in any kind of trouble with WWE management and is merely being kept off screen as part of the storyline which he will be involved at some stage going forward.

WWE released the “Our Nation’s Pride: The Best of Canadian Superstars” DVD this week. Former WWE personality Kyle Edwards (Arda Ocal) is the host of the DVD. Courtesy of Wrestling DVD Network, here is the content listing:

Highly passionate MMA Journalist, and I've followed the sport ever since my favorite fighter, Vitor Belfort won the heavyweight tournament at UFC 12. After that I've tried to go to every local MMA event around the Gulf Coast and surrounding areas and decided to make it a point to have a career in some aspect in the fighting sport other than fighting in general (didn't want to ruin my face). I'm currently enrolled at Southeastern Louisiana University working towards a degree in Communication. I cover MMA, Boxing and Football for The Daily Star newspaper in my hometown of Hammond, Louisiana, in addition to working as a promotional writer for a local Boxing promotion known as BoxnCar and I cover boxing for 8countnews.com however SciFighting.com is my home. My main goal is to bring more publicity to MMA in my area and to the sport as a whole as all of us involved with the sport are merely scratching the surface and laying the foundation of what mixed martial arts competition will be further down the road.
