First Brother v Brother in MMA? And Cyborg Calls Out Ronda

Real life super hero Phoenix Jones (real name) Ben Fodor has been booked for his next WSOF fight and his opponent is an interesting one to say the least:

Caros Fodor has a little advice before hanging up and his tone has changed. He’s spent about 20 minutes discussing his July 30 bout in the World Series of Fighting and going over the strengths and weaknesses of his opponent, Phoenix Jones.

He knows Jones better than most, though, because Jones is his brother, whose real name is Ben Fodor. The two don’t get along, and haven’t for some time. But with their fight now booked, Caros admits, “It’s kind of surreal that this is really happening.”

Ben Fodor is, to be kind, a character. Phoenix Jones is his alter ego, a so-called crime fighter in Seattle who wears a costume as if he were a modern-day Batman.

New UFC fighter Cris Cyborg recently joined a local radio show in Los Angeles to promote her fight at UFC 198. As it often does with Cyborg, the subject of Ronda Rousey was brought and she continued her taunting of the former champion:

“Ronda always runs from me,” “Cyborg” told Power 106 in Los Angeles on Tuesday. “Because before when she started training, I was already champion at 145 and she started at 145 and she run to 135.

“She’s always say she wants to fight me but she never wants to make a catch weight so she can meet the challenge and fight.”

Highly passionate MMA Journalist, and I've followed the sport ever since my favorite fighter, Vitor Belfort won the heavyweight tournament at UFC 12. After that I've tried to go to every local MMA event around the Gulf Coast and surrounding areas and decided to make it a point to have a career in some aspect in the fighting sport other than fighting in general (didn't want to ruin my face). I'm currently enrolled at Southeastern Louisiana University working towards a degree in Communication. I cover MMA, Boxing and Football for The Daily Star newspaper in my hometown of Hammond, Louisiana, in addition to working as a promotional writer for a local Boxing promotion known as BoxnCar and I cover boxing for 8countnews.com however SciFighting.com is my home. My main goal is to bring more publicity to MMA in my area and to the sport as a whole as all of us involved with the sport are merely scratching the surface and laying the foundation of what mixed martial arts competition will be further down the road.
