ICYMI ECW Original Passes

Multiple sources are reporting that ECW Original Balls Mahoney has passed away at the age of 44.

The news was originally broken on the official Twitter page of Jonny Candido, the brother of the late Chris Candido, who says that the news of his passing came directly from Mahoney’s wife. Furthermore, Rob Feinstein, the founder of RF Video, says that he also spoke directly to Mahoney’s wife and received confirmation of the ECW Original’s passing.

Other stars such as Rob Van Dam, Robbie E,The Blue Meanie, and ECW alumni Jasmin St. Clair also posted condolences on their official Twitter pages.

As previously reported, ECW Original Balls Mahoney passed away Tuesday evening at the age of 44.

In an update, PWInsider.com is reporting that Mahoney, whose real name was Jonathan Rechner, suffered from a bad fall several days ago. This resulted in him having to use a walker to get around due to badly injuring his hip. However, he suddenly fell ill on Tuesday evening, which led to him passing away.
