Update On Randy Orton

Ric Flair briefly discussed Randy Orton‘s shoulder injury and if will be healed in time for WrestleMania 32 on his latest podcast:

“I’m told it won’t be ready”, said Flair.

He added: “Randy’s shoulder surgery was a lot more serious than people understand. He even had it done by a different surgeon this time because he wanted to make sure that… If it pops out just pounding the mat…just imagine what would happen if he took a German from Brock (Lesnar).

WWE SmackDown Rating

This week’s WWE SmackDown which saw Brock Lesnar’s first appearance on the show in 12 years, drew an average viewership of 2.458 million viewers which is up on last week’s 2.414 million viewership average.

The final rating for the show was a 1.76, also up from last week’s 1.72 rating

ROH Star Michael Elgin has signed a two-year deal with New Japan Pro Wrestling, according to ProWrestlingSheets.com.

Negotiations reportedly took place earlier this month and both sides were able to come to a mutual agreement. Elgin has been Japan this weekend for the ROH vs. New Japan series where he signed his new deal, which “allows Elgin to continue taking bookings wherever he’d like outside of Japan.”

Elgin is expected to be a top name going forward for New Japan after having a notable run in 2015 as part of the G1 Climax tournament.

Highly passionate MMA Journalist, and I've followed the sport ever since my favorite fighter, Vitor Belfort won the heavyweight tournament at UFC 12. After that I've tried to go to every local MMA event around the Gulf Coast and surrounding areas and decided to make it a point to have a career in some aspect in the fighting sport other than fighting in general (didn't want to ruin my face). I'm currently enrolled at Southeastern Louisiana University working towards a degree in Communication. I cover MMA, Boxing and Football for The Daily Star newspaper in my hometown of Hammond, Louisiana, in addition to working as a promotional writer for a local Boxing promotion known as BoxnCar and I cover boxing for 8countnews.com however SciFighting.com is my home. My main goal is to bring more publicity to MMA in my area and to the sport as a whole as all of us involved with the sport are merely scratching the surface and laying the foundation of what mixed martial arts competition will be further down the road.
