TNA Wants Goldberg and Charlotte’s Mom Responds to RAW Controversy

(Bill Goldberg, WWE star and actor)

Former WWE and WCW World Heavyweight Champion Bill Goldberg recently spoke with ChannelGuideMagBlog.com and revealed that TNA Impact Wrestling recently contacted him about appearing on their programming to promote a movie that Goldberg and TNA star Bram are featured in called Check Point:

“I just got contacted by TNA a couple of days ago, Goldberg said. “I don’t know. They want to promote the movie since one of my adversaries in the film is Bram (Thomas Latimer), who works for them. I’m greatly appreciative they want to help the movie out. Now at the end of the day, promoting the movie is one thing, but getting a guy like Goldberg in your wrestling organization is a completely different story. We’ll see.”

“I was very lucky in that I did not kill myself during my tenure in the wrestling world,” he said. “My body still can take some serious abuse as we see with me training Muay Thai kickboxing three days a week. As long as I got this little boy with a desire to see me do something in the ring, there is the idea of never say never.”

Monday night’s WWE Divas Championship Contract Signing on Raw in which Paige made a controversial comment about Charlotte’s Brother Reid Flair who passed away on March 29, 2013 is drawing a lot of attention online.

Charlotte got emotional referencing her late brother saying Paige was there for her when he died. The Divas Champion said she is here today because of him — to fulfill his dream. Later in the segment, Paige decided to insult his memory in an attempt to rile her foe into a brawl by saying he didn’t have “much fight in him.”

Reid and Charlotte’s mother, Elizabeth Fliehr, who is also an ex-wife of Ric Flair, was not happy with the angle.

Highly passionate MMA Journalist, and I've followed the sport ever since my favorite fighter, Vitor Belfort won the heavyweight tournament at UFC 12. After that I've tried to go to every local MMA event around the Gulf Coast and surrounding areas and decided to make it a point to have a career in some aspect in the fighting sport other than fighting in general (didn't want to ruin my face). I'm currently enrolled at Southeastern Louisiana University working towards a degree in Communication. I cover MMA, Boxing and Football for The Daily Star newspaper in my hometown of Hammond, Louisiana, in addition to working as a promotional writer for a local Boxing promotion known as BoxnCar and I cover boxing for 8countnews.com however SciFighting.com is my home. My main goal is to bring more publicity to MMA in my area and to the sport as a whole as all of us involved with the sport are merely scratching the surface and laying the foundation of what mixed martial arts competition will be further down the road.
