Why Daniel Bryan vs Brock Lesnar Should Happen

(WWE Heavyweight Champion Brock Lesnar)

Former WWE World Heavyweight Champions Daniel Bryan and Brock Lesnar have never gone toe-to-toe in a WWE ring, but they honestly should. Bryan is supposedly going to return to action very soon and as of now Lesnar is scheduled to take on The Big Show tomorrow night at the WWE’s Madison Square Garden event.

However once Bryan returns to full time action the two should be paired in a monumental match. Daniel is the legitimate fan favorite and Brock is the biggest draw in the entire company. An issue is the mixture of styles as Daniel is very high paced in his in-ring work and Lesnar is just plain brutal.

The pairing of the two could go one of two very distinct ways. Either Brock and Daniel put on one of the most epic matches of all time or Lesnar ends the career of Bryan for good. The match would have a sort of Brock vs Punk kind of feel and with Lesnar’s vast improvements of selling that he’s hurt it could provide a fan friendly spectacle.

The implement of weapons should be involved too, one could definitely see Bryan wearing Lesnar down with a kendo stick or a chair. Also imagine how far Daniel Bryan’s body would fly from the impact of an F-5. The interjection of Paul Heyman causing distractions would be great and the selling of the match beforehand between Paul and Daniel on dueling microphones would be wonderful.

The Beard vs The Beast would surely be a crowd pleasing affair and would sell out almost any arena that it was advertised for. The only concern is health as Brock has shown numerous times before that a match with him can shorten or possibly end one’s career.

Highly passionate MMA Journalist, and I've followed the sport ever since my favorite fighter, Vitor Belfort won the heavyweight tournament at UFC 12. After that I've tried to go to every local MMA event around the Gulf Coast and surrounding areas and decided to make it a point to have a career in some aspect in the fighting sport other than fighting in general (didn't want to ruin my face). I'm currently enrolled at Southeastern Louisiana University working towards a degree in Communication. I cover MMA, Boxing and Football for The Daily Star newspaper in my hometown of Hammond, Louisiana, in addition to working as a promotional writer for a local Boxing promotion known as BoxnCar and I cover boxing for 8countnews.com however SciFighting.com is my home. My main goal is to bring more publicity to MMA in my area and to the sport as a whole as all of us involved with the sport are merely scratching the surface and laying the foundation of what mixed martial arts competition will be further down the road.
