WWE Fan Who Jumped Railing Tells Why He Did It, Jericho Responds

WWE Night of Champions pay-per-view almost did more bad then good. In the night’s main event WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins defended his strap in a great match with longtime WCW veteran Sting. However in the midst of the match Sting was injured due to a turnbuckle power bomb and after an interview revealed that he may never be able to wrestle again. Which is highly misfortunate to fans and to the business of the WWE as he is a main draw.

Before that match took place a 6 man tag match between former members of the Shield, Dean Ambrose and Roman Reigns and a mystery partner who later turned out to be none other than Chris Jericho took on the Wyatt Family. Braun Stroman, Bray Wyatt and Luke Harper had been feuding with Roman and Dean for weeks before however before anyone could enter the match, a fan decided to make his presence known.

Oscar Ramirez jumped the railing and was quickly escorted out of the building and is banned from future WWE events and will serve jail time as reported earlier. Now Oscar speaks out and tells why he did what he did:

During an interview with The Wrestling Mayhem Show, Oscar Ramirez revealed the reason why he decided to jump the barricade at Sunday’s Night of Champions event. He said:

“It is just a test to see how far I would go or what lengths I would go to for the WWE Universe.”

Ramirez also mentioned that there was no security around him at the time he decided to jump the rail. Additionally, he only served three days in jail instead of ten.

Very cryptic and creepy message delivered by Oscar whose jail time was shortened by almost a week. His interference in the contest didn’t help the face team of Ambrose, Jericho and Reigns as they fell to the Wyatt family when a hot-headed Jericho threw himself into the mix and cost the team the match. Chris is reported to be undergoing a heel transformation so this incident could be the laughing pad for that.

In regards to the fan that jumped the barricade, Jericho tweeted about him:

So the jackass who jumped in the ring at #nightofchampions got sentenced to jail time. Let this be a lesson to all…stay out of OUR ring! 😉

Highly passionate MMA Journalist, and I've followed the sport ever since my favorite fighter, Vitor Belfort won the heavyweight tournament at UFC 12. After that I've tried to go to every local MMA event around the Gulf Coast and surrounding areas and decided to make it a point to have a career in some aspect in the fighting sport other than fighting in general (didn't want to ruin my face). I'm currently enrolled at Southeastern Louisiana University working towards a degree in Communication. I cover MMA, Boxing and Football for The Daily Star newspaper in my hometown of Hammond, Louisiana, in addition to working as a promotional writer for a local Boxing promotion known as BoxnCar and I cover boxing for 8countnews.com however SciFighting.com is my home. My main goal is to bring more publicity to MMA in my area and to the sport as a whole as all of us involved with the sport are merely scratching the surface and laying the foundation of what mixed martial arts competition will be further down the road.
