Premier Boxing Champions has another showcase of world class boxing action set for tonight on the Fox Sports 1 channel. The main event will consist of Julian “J-Rock” Williams (20-0-1) against Luciano Cuello (35-3). The pair will be vying for the WBC Continental Americas Super Welterweight Title, as if the title of the title wasn’t long enough. The co-main event will feature Moises Flores (23-0) pitted against Luis Cusolito 21-1) with the Interim WBA World Super Bantamweight Title on the line.
The preview will commence with a possible alternate contest that may air if the main fights go by too fast. The Caleb Plant (9-0) vs Jamar Freeman (13-4-2) bout is that alternate. Freeman comes into the bout looking to rebound from his last fight which was a loss via 8th round TKO to Julian Williams. Prior to that contest he was riding a 3 fight winning streak however 3 of his 4 losses have come from undefeated fighters. Plant falls in that category and has won 8 of his 9 contests via KO and he defeated his toughest opponent, Zoltan Sera in his last outing by putting him away in the opening round.
Then Moises Flores will take to the ring after narrowly escaping his last outing with a victory over Oscar Escandon via split decision. of Flores’s 23 wins he has 16 knockouts and will look to halt the onslaught of Luis Emanuel Cusolito. Cusolito has been unstoppable since the first loss of his career in 2012 from Maximiliano Luis Marquez. Following that 5th round knockout loss, Luis Emanuel has knocked out 6 of his following 7 opponents bringing his knockout total to 19 in his 21 professional wins. Further proof of his recent dominance is that 5 of his 6 knockout victims couldn’t even make it past the 4th round.
In the main event J-Rock Julian Williams will make his return to the sweet science. The undefeated Pennsylvania native will have the home state crowd behind him in the feature attraction at The Sands Casino. He will look to gain his 21st career victory, but in his way will be the iron jawed journeyman Luciano Cuello. Cuello has shared the ring with major boxing stars Saul Alvarez and Julio Caesar Chavez Jr. He has only been knocked out once in 38 fights and is looking to become the stiffest test of the 25 year old J-Rock’s young career.
