A very quirky episode of Monday Night Raw kicked off with the Wyatt Family gloating of their victory over Roman Reigns, Dean Ambrose and Chris Jericho at Night of Champions. However they didn’t get too far into their celebration until Roman Reigns came out to interrupt and single out the leader, Bray into a contest to “finish what they started” as the opening bout of Raw.

This didn’t last very long as well and didn’t even hear the ring of a beginning bell as Reigns mounted some incredible offense only to have Luke Harper and Braun Stroman make the save for Bray. Then as expected “The Lunatic Fringe” Dean Ambrose comes running out to the ring to help out his buddy Roman. The three on two attack seems like an uphill battle until Randy Orton makes his triumphant return as well to stand alongside the former members of the Shield in their fight against the Wyatt Family.

Neville and The Lucha Dragons def. Cosmic Wasteland (Stardust and The Ascension)

In a much faster rematch from their Night of Champions exhibition, this ending was the opposite of the night prior. The comic-booky styled rivalry between Neville and Stardust just got more cast members.

Ryback def. Bo Dallas

After losing his WWE Intercontinental Title to Kevin Owens at Night of Champions, Ryback was primed for a heavy squash against Bo Dallas. However as soon as he emphatically shellshocked Bo, Owens met Ryback with a beatdown.

WWE Divas Champion Charlotte def. Brie Bella

It was supposed to be a night of celebration for team PCB as Charlotte vanquished the long reigning Divas Champion Nikki Bella the night before at Night of Champions. However Paige somewhat rained on Charlotte’s parade when she proclaimed “We all know the Bellas got to where they are because of their father and you did the same (aimed at Charlotte, with Ric Flair standing by) and now the Divas division will go back to where it was.” Paige then left and Nikki came in but was handled in a roughly 5 min contest that ended with a spear and a figure 8.

Sheamus def. Mark Henry

Sheamus was unsuccessful in cashing in his Money in the Bank briefcase at Night of Champions but put away the World’s Strongest Man rather easily Monday night in what was almost a squash match for the Celtic Warrior. Two Brogue kicks back to back sealed Mark’s fate and Sheamus reminded the crowd that he will be the WWE World Heavyweight Champion soon enough.

The New Day (Kofi & Big E) w/ Rusev def. Dolph Ziggler and The Dudley Boys

The New Day come out first and do an incredible “Donald Trump esque” promo about how they will “Make the WWE Great Again.” Then a very entertaining match ensues but ended abruptly when Rusev got revenge on Dolph and pinned him after a super kick.

Naomi def. Natalya

Natalya made a less than triumphant return to Raw, and was first met by a disgruntled Paige who jabbingly asked “Where’ve you been?” as Natalya had been absent from WWE programming for quite some time. She came down to face off with member of Team BAD, Naomi and the numbers game proved to be too strong for the lone Natty.

The Big Show def. Cesaro

A slight push for The Big Show has been happening recently as the WWE seem to be priming him for his October 3rd Madison Square Garden date with Brock Lesnar. On Raw he defeated Cesaro for the second straight time, the first being on Smackdown. Show then reminded fans that it was him who gave Lesnar his first official WWE loss.

WWE United States Title Match: (C) John Cena def. Seth Rollins

In the rubber match between Cena and Rollins for the United States Title, Cena would overcome once more. Rollins landed a beautiful frog splash while chants of “Eddie, Eddie” enamored him. However when he went for the pin Cena utilized superhuman strength to lift the WWE World Heavyweight Champion onto his shoulders for an emphatic Attitude Adjustment for the victory. After the contest was over Kane appeared on the TitanTron warning Rollins about surprise opposition. Then The Demon Kane’s pyro hits and Kane appears from under the canvas to drag Rollins down to “Hell” to close the show.
