The Ken Shamrock vs. Kimbo Slice fight, the fight that should have never happened, is in the books. After getting knocked out, Shamrock graciously shook Slice’s hand, and then explained why he lost the fight.
But in the spirit of professional wrestling, the world of which Shamrock dabbled in, here’s the promo he should have cut during the post-fight interview:
“I want to thank all my fans who supported me tonight in my attempt to turn back the clock. Let’s get one thing straight right now. I may have lost this fight, but I did not lose this battle. I am 51 years old and I just stepped inside the cage with one of the hardest-punching dudes on the planet. And he’s also 10 years younger than me.
“I will walk out of this cage with my head held high, knowing that in my prime it would have been a different outcome for the You Tube sensation. I will walk out of this cage knowing that I am a pioneer of this sport. And I will walk out of this cage knowing that I walk what I talk and I do what I say and Ken Shamrock, one way or another, is here to stay.”
If these MMA legends are going to continue to fight past their time, they should try to get themselves over when they have a live mic in their hands.
