Fans all over the world have been counting down to the moment when these two superstars finally step into the ring together. It’s a cataclysmic showdown that has been repeatedly referred to as, ‘The Fight of the Century.’ Floyd Mayweather Jr., 47-0-0, 26 KO, is the favored fighter tonight at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas against Manny Pacquiao, 57-2-5, 38 KO.
Looking back throughout Boxing history, this fight is comparable in scale to Ali’s ‘Rumble in the Jungle’ vs. George Foreman, or even, Sugar Ray Leonard’s first match up against Robert Duran.
Most people are just tuning in to see whether Pacman can pull off the upset against the seemingly unstoppable Floyd ‘Money’ Mayweather Jr. Out of all Floyd’s opponents up to date, Pacquiao has 7-titles and is the most worthy opponent Floyd has ever faced. His fighting style is southpaw, fast-hand speed, and it strongly juxtaposes Floyd’s unorthodox method of defensive fighting because Pacman’s style is something Floyd has never faced before. Mike Tyson was quoted saying, ‘Mayweather will be hit, Hurt more than ever.’
