Bray Wyatt spent the better part of the last month and a half selling promo after promo after promo to set up his mega match with The Undertaker at Wrestlemania 31. However just to rain on his parade he suffered an ankle sprain right before his bout with the deadman.

The Undertaker lost for the first time in his Wrestlemania career to Brock Lesnar last year and a few speculated that the face of fear in the WWE would pass the torch to a person that could hold the same title. That of course being Bray Wyatt. Wyatt since last year’s Wrestlemania picked up big wins over John Cena, Chris Jericho, Dean Ambrose and was the man who flipped the WWE Universe on upside down after eliminating Daniel Bryan from this year’s Royal Rumble.

These occurrences seemed to point that Wyatt was ready to overthrow the devil’s favorite son at Wrestlemania 31 and maybe those were the plans all along. Maybe Wyatt’s injury cost him his possible Mania moment, but then again, maybe not.

The match was sub-par as far as Undertaker Wrestlemania matches are concerned. Obviously due to the sustained injury and it was also that injury that kept Bray off of the rowdy Raw after Mania. Although he could also be in limbo for a possible story-line from the WWE Creative team because no clear routs are set for him currently, as is the story for most that come off a feud with the Undertaker after Wrestlemania.

Then there’s the story of the Russian War-Machine, Rusev’s right hand lady, Lana. Rusev had a stong showing this entire year going undefeated. Using the daunting Russian flag to flank his victims that succumbed to the heralded submission “The Accolade.” Mark Henry, Shemus, Big Show, Jack Swagger and even John Cena at Fastlane failed to recapture the United States Title for the United States.

But at the show of shows, the man that “Never Gives Up” recaptured the title for the first time in 11 years. Not too big of a surprise that Super Cena showed up at Wrestlemania and relieved Rusev of his belt. However, Rusev did run into Lana and possibly kayfabe injured her.

This was used to write Lana off of Raw, as Rusev had a match with Goldust, whom he defeated yet again by The Accolade. Lana was actually finishing up filming for the WWE Movie Interrogation, which she will be starring alongside WWE hall of famer Edge.

Highly passionate MMA Journalist, and I've followed the sport ever since my favorite fighter, Vitor Belfort won the heavyweight tournament at UFC 12. After that I've tried to go to every local MMA event around the Gulf Coast and surrounding areas and decided to make it a point to have a career in some aspect in the fighting sport other than fighting in general (didn't want to ruin my face). I'm currently enrolled at Southeastern Louisiana University working towards a degree in Communication. I cover MMA, Boxing and Football for The Daily Star newspaper in my hometown of Hammond, Louisiana, in addition to working as a promotional writer for a local Boxing promotion known as BoxnCar and I cover boxing for 8countnews.com however SciFighting.com is my home. My main goal is to bring more publicity to MMA in my area and to the sport as a whole as all of us involved with the sport are merely scratching the surface and laying the foundation of what mixed martial arts competition will be further down the road.
