Former middleweight title challenger Demian Maia (19-6) faces Ryan LaFlare (11-0, 4-0 UFC) in the night’s main event matchup. Maia is 4-2 since moving down to welterweight, most recently snapping a two-fight losing streak to Jake Shields and Rory MacDonald with a unanimous decision win over Alexander Yakovlev. LaFlare faces his first high level opponent against Maia. The main event will either catapult Laflare’s undefeated record and status or keep Demian Maia in the Welterweight picture with a second consecutive win.
