17,564 were reported in attendance at LA’s Staples Center, raking in a total gate of $2,675,000 for UFC 184. Ronda Rousey shaved 2 seconds off of her fastest career finish, trapping Cat Zingano’s right arm in a takedown reversal for a 14-second straight armbar victory. Ronda Rousey adds this victory to her 5th consecutive title defense in the UFC as bantamweight champion. In the second Women’s bantamweight fight of the night, boxing champion Holly Holm defeated Raquel Pennington by a close split decision, continuing her undefeated MMA record to 8-0.

Jake Ellenberger snapped a three fight losing streak with a north-south choke submission victory over veteran Josh Koscheck. While Koscheck is not a highly ranked welterweight, the dominating win certainly helps Ellenberger stay in good UFC promotional standing. 10th Planet’s Alan Jouban had an absolute scrap with Richard in opening of the first round, but turned the tables with an elbow strike to the temple and punches for the 1st round KO.

Another 10th Planet product, Tony Ferguson, took a performance of the night bonus with a speedy 1st round rear-naked choke victory over veteran Gleison Tibau. The win stands as “El Cucuy’s” 5th consecutive victory in the UFC’s lightweight division. Below are the full results of UFC 184: Rousey vs. Zingano.
