Major Changes Made for WWE Wrestlemania 31 Main Event, Foley Talks About Austin’s Podcast

It was obviously supposed to be the Royal Rumble winner, Roman Reigns taking on the current WWE World Heavyweight Champion Brock Lesnar. However due to extreme uproar and backlash from the fans, the wrestling observer is reporting that Vince McMahon had a meeting with top company executives to discuss another triple threat main event.

The other combatant to be added to the contest was the same that was added to the main event last year, Daniel Bryan. Bryan will face Reigns in the main event of Fast Lane, which is the last pay-per-view before Wrestlemania, for the opportunity to face Brock Lesnar at the show of shows.

Another show on The WWE Network that is making waves and attracting a wide range of audiences is Stone Cold Steve Austin’s podcast. He pulls no punches and normally asks questions that most of the fans want answered. One fan that enjoys it is the Hardcore Hall of Famer Mick Foley. Different from Austin’s podcast, Foley likes to write blogs and recently he wrote one on his thoughts of Austin’s show.

Foley had mostly a positive reaction to the podcast and mainly praised it and Austin.

“Well, I said I was taking a break from WWE Monday Night Raw and‪#‎Smackdown‬ for a couple weeks…and I did. But I just couldn’t resist watching the ‪#‎StoneColdPodcast‬ with Paul “Triple H” Levesque – and I’m glad I did.

Stone Cold Steve Austin has got himself a heck of a podcast there son, and ‪#‎WWENetwork‬ has got themselves a compelling original series, which is a natural follow-up to ‪#‎RAW‬.

Steve is just damn good. He clearly knows his stuff, doesn’t back away from the tough questions, makes it fun, and that hour just goes racing by. Credit should be given to Triple H too, for being so honest with the fans, and for building something so special in ‪#‎NXT‬. If NXT is Triple H’s baby, then love him, or hate him, you have to admit the guy’s a good dad.

Here’s the obvious challenge facing ‪#‎WWE‬ and the podcast: after featuring Vince McMahon and Triple H, where do you go from here? Will WWE allow their top superstars to be grilled by a no-BS guy like Austin, and how honest will they feel comfortable being.”

Highly passionate MMA Journalist, and I've followed the sport ever since my favorite fighter, Vitor Belfort won the heavyweight tournament at UFC 12. After that I've tried to go to every local MMA event around the Gulf Coast and surrounding areas and decided to make it a point to have a career in some aspect in the fighting sport other than fighting in general (didn't want to ruin my face). I'm currently enrolled at Southeastern Louisiana University working towards a degree in Communication. I cover MMA, Boxing and Football for The Daily Star newspaper in my hometown of Hammond, Louisiana, in addition to working as a promotional writer for a local Boxing promotion known as BoxnCar and I cover boxing for 8countnews.com however SciFighting.com is my home. My main goal is to bring more publicity to MMA in my area and to the sport as a whole as all of us involved with the sport are merely scratching the surface and laying the foundation of what mixed martial arts competition will be further down the road.
