WWE Royal Rumble Card Preview

(WWE Heavyweight Champion Brock Lesnar)

Following another very solid Monday Night Raw showing, here is the most up to date match listing for the Royal Rumble this Sunday on the WWE Network:

30-Man Royal Rumble Match:
The winner will receive a WWE World Heavyweight Championship match at WrestleMania 31. Last year’s Wrestlemania 30 main event winner, Daniel Bryan, is confirmed for the match. However, so is Bray Wyatt, who beat him in a match at last year’s Royal Rumble. Bray Wyatt also picked up another win against the goat-faced former WWE World Heavyweight Champion on Raw last night. Also, now that John Cena got Ryback, Dolph Ziggler and Eric Rowan reinstated, how will their presence be felt? Will they enter into the Rumble? Provide a major impact on the Triple Threat WWE World Heavyweight Title match? Or both?

(WWE Icon John Cena)

Triple Threat Match for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship
“The Beast Incarnate” Brock Lesnar (c) vs. John Cena vs. “Mr. Money in the Bank” Seth Rollins. Some think Cena will take the title while others see Lesnar having the belt until Wrestlemania 31. Then there’s Rollins, who has the insurance of the Money in the Bank briefcase. Not only that, but after Brock dismantled the Authority last night on Raw, will they miss the chances of him retaining or Cena winning the title more? Either way, they will make a strong push to grant Rollins the gold.

(Damien Mizdow and the Miz)

WWE Tag Team Championship Match
The Usos (c) vs. The Miz & Damien Mizdow. This is a heated rematch for the belts Miz and Mizdow lost the tag title gold to. With the rumored separation of Miz and Mizdow looming, how will that play a factor here?

Divas Tag Team Match
Paige & Natalya vs. The Bella Twins. Slight rivalry brewing but as with most Divas matches, it will probably end here.

Tag Match

The Ascension vs. The New Age Outlaws. This is an interesting contest as The New Age Outlaws won the tag-team titles at last year’s Royal Rumble. The Outlaws will probably be cannon fodder for the young squad, as they have run rampant through the WWE in their brief tenure.

Six-Man Tag Team Elimination Match (to take place during the WWE Network’s Royal Rumble Kickoff show)
The New Day vs. Adam Rose, Tyson Kidd, & Cesaro–This is another small rivalry brewing, but one-sided due to all the recent wins New Day has picked up against Kidd and Cesaro. Perhaps the new addition of Adam Rose can get them over the hump.

Highly passionate MMA Journalist, and I've followed the sport ever since my favorite fighter, Vitor Belfort won the heavyweight tournament at UFC 12. After that I've tried to go to every local MMA event around the Gulf Coast and surrounding areas and decided to make it a point to have a career in some aspect in the fighting sport other than fighting in general (didn't want to ruin my face). I'm currently enrolled at Southeastern Louisiana University working towards a degree in Communication. I cover MMA, Boxing and Football for The Daily Star newspaper in my hometown of Hammond, Louisiana, in addition to working as a promotional writer for a local Boxing promotion known as BoxnCar and I cover boxing for 8countnews.com however SciFighting.com is my home. My main goal is to bring more publicity to MMA in my area and to the sport as a whole as all of us involved with the sport are merely scratching the surface and laying the foundation of what mixed martial arts competition will be further down the road.
