Roman Reigns Return Date Announced and Updated Survivor Series Teams

Former member of the Shield and recipient of a major push before his injury, Roman Reigns will be returning soon. Just over a month away, December 27th, Reigns is scheduled for a house show in Cincinnati, Ohio.

Reigns had competed in two matches for the WWE World Heavyweight Title, one at the main event of Money in the Bank ladder match concept pay-per-view against John Cena, Alberto Del Rio, Randy Orton, Bray Wyatt, Cesaro, Sheamus and Kane. The match was for Daniel Bryan’s forfeited championship after he was injured and was won by John Cena.

The second match Reigns competed in for the title was at the following Battleground pay-per-view in a fatal four-way match opposite John Cena, Randy Orton and Kane. Yet again John Cena won, but a feud between Orton and Reigns developed that culminated into a “match of the year” candidate in a bout with Randy at Summerslam that Reigns went on to win.

Following Summerslam, Roman Reigns was sidelined due to an emergency surgery to an incarcerated hernia. However, the advertised date mentioned above is being reported by the local Cincinnati venue where the event is to be held along with a Survivor Series rematch billed as the show’s main event.

The rematch being billed is between “The Lunatic Fringe” Dean Ambrose going up against “The Eater of Worlds” and former leader of the Wyatt Family, Bray Wyatt. The pair are set to go head-to-head on this Sunday’s Survivor Series broadcast and are apparently going to continue their feud going into the entire month of December.

The two teams going against each other at Survivor Series in what is presumed to be the main event of the card, have shuffled a bit throughout the month. However, both Team Cena and Team Authority finalized their squads during what was supposed to be a “contract signing” on Raw this past Monday night.

Team Cena will consist of “The Big Guy” Ryback (who at first looked as though he would have joined the Authority), The Big Show, Dolph Ziggler, surprisingly Eric Rowan and the captain John Cena. Team Authority will have “The World’s Strongest Man” Mark Henry, The United States Champion Rusev, Luke Harper, Corporate Kane and it will be led by Mr. Money in the Bank Seth Rollins.

Highly passionate MMA Journalist, and I've followed the sport ever since my favorite fighter, Vitor Belfort won the heavyweight tournament at UFC 12. After that I've tried to go to every local MMA event around the Gulf Coast and surrounding areas and decided to make it a point to have a career in some aspect in the fighting sport other than fighting in general (didn't want to ruin my face). I'm currently enrolled at Southeastern Louisiana University working towards a degree in Communication. I cover MMA, Boxing and Football for The Daily Star newspaper in my hometown of Hammond, Louisiana, in addition to working as a promotional writer for a local Boxing promotion known as BoxnCar and I cover boxing for 8countnews.com however SciFighting.com is my home. My main goal is to bring more publicity to MMA in my area and to the sport as a whole as all of us involved with the sport are merely scratching the surface and laying the foundation of what mixed martial arts competition will be further down the road.
