The biggest Bellator event of the year just got a little bit bigger. “King Mo” Lawal has been added to the main card matchup against Tom DeBlass on November 15th in Bellator 131. The event is headlined by the highly anticipated matchup between Tito Ortiz and Stephan Bonnar as well as Michael Chandler vs. Will Brooks for the lightweight title.

While King Mo was originally set to face DeBlass in September, Deblass had to withdraw from the fight after suffering an injury. King Mo then went on to defeat new opponent Dustin Jacoby by KO victory in Bellator 123, and a victory over Tom DeBlass would put him back in the running for a light heavyweight title shot.

“Tom has been talking since we were supposed to fight in September. He’s a good fighter, but my jab is going to erase his teeth and swell up his eyes. My right is going to make him see stars and bright lights. Another fight, another win.”

“Listen, I respect Mo and I think he’s a world class athlete,” DeBlass said. “That being said, I know what I’m capable of, and I not only believe that I will win the fight, but I’m going to finish him. Bellator has treated me incredible, and I’ve been asking for big fights. Let Mo do his talking. His mouth is his best weapon.”

DeBlass may be new to Bellator, but he’s made a big impression by taking KO victories in his two fights in the organization. His knockout power isn’t the only skill he brings to the fight, DeBlass is also a BJJ black belt. He should be able to give King Mo a run for his money when the fight hits the floor.
