Doug Marshall (18-7) touches gloves with Melvin Manhoef (28-11-1) for the main event for what is sure to be an intense striking match. Doug Marshall is a WEC veteran, moving down from his days at heavyweight to middleweight with great success in 4 of his last 5 fights. He is a knockout expert and particularly when it comes to first round knockouts of his opponents. Marshall has all the motivation in the world to earn a big win over Manhoef to get a grudge match against Alexander Shlemenko for the title. However,  Manhoef is no stranger when it comes to first round knockout victories. He’s racked up an astounding 26 knockouts in MMA. Manhoef has a wealth of experience in numerous organizations such as Dream, Strikeforce, OneFC and K-1 to bring to the table. Nobody knows for certain who will walk away the better middleweight, but it won’t be due to a judges’ decision.

Rafael Carvalho (9-1) replaced both James Irvin and Brett Cooper due to training injuries to face Brian Rogers (11-6). Carvalho will be making his Bellator debut against Rogers coming in with a 9 fight winning streak. He has taken 8 of his wins by KO, and will be pinning his best striking efforts against another knockout wizard, Brian Rogers. Rogers is a Bellator veteran, facing the latest and greatest middleweights that the organization has to offer. He has great skill for KO’s, but not as much luck when it comes to a convincing the judges on a decision. Don’t blink on this fight, because you might just miss another one of his signature flying knee victories.
