Former boxing undisputed world heavyweight champion “Iron” Mike Tyson (50-6) was regarded as one of the most powerful heavyweights to ever take part in the sweet science. Mike only had 6 wins that didn’t come by some form of knockout but when he was outside of the ring he knocked out his chances of having a career in public relations.

Some of his interviews were mildly inspiring while others made his critics and even his fans utilize the “facepalm” technique. Not knowing how or maybe caring to utilize words that adequately fit his style and letting his emotions dictate what came out of his mouth culminated in an entertaining slur of filth and entertainment.

Here is a collection of some of the funniest Mike Tyson quotes.

In a press conference:

“What I do, you guys can’t define me in my work as a father, I’m many things. I’m a convicted rapist, I’m a raper, I’m a loving father, I’m a semi good husband. What? I’m just a man out here trying to enjoy my.. Ya know I was born poor? Man I don’t know how to act. I’m just here to be me, yea I’m a tyrant titan that’s basically what I am.”

In an interview with a female:

“Yea I’m on this Zoloft thing, but I’m on that so I don’t end up killing yall. I honestly want to talk about fornicating with you, and you suckin’ my d$%@. If I was eloquent with you then you would still look at me as a scumbag.”

In an interview on primetime tv:

“I’m a big strong n$#@%& that fights people and rapes people. That rips off people.”

In a post fight interview on Showtime after being asked if the fight he had partaken in was his shortest ever:

“I’ve beared witness that there is only one god and Mohammed blessed be upon him as his prophet. I dedicate this fight to my brother Darren Baum who died. I’ll be there to see you, I love you with all my heart. All praise be to my children I love you. Um god amen what?!”

Then he was asked again if that was his shortest fight ever. His response was:

“Assah Lamma lay kum maida!! Um I don’t know man. Yeah Lennox Lewis, Lennox Lewis I’m comin’ for you. Naw I didn’t train for this fight. I may have trained two or three weeks for this fight. I had to bury my best friend and I dedicate this fight to him, I wasn’t even going to take this fight. I was going to rip his heart out, I’m the best ever.”

“I’m the most brutal, the most vicious, and the most vicious champion that’s eva been! There’s no one can stop me! Lennox is a conquerer? No! I’m Alexander! He’s no Alexander! I’m the best eva! There’s never been anybody as ruthless as me! I’m Sonny Liston, I’m Jack Dempsey there’s no one like me! I’m from their cloth, there’s no one that can match me!”

“My style is impetuous my defense is impregnable and I’m just ferocious! I want your heart! I want to eat your children! Praise be to allah!”

Highly passionate MMA Journalist, and I've followed the sport ever since my favorite fighter, Vitor Belfort won the heavyweight tournament at UFC 12. After that I've tried to go to every local MMA event around the Gulf Coast and surrounding areas and decided to make it a point to have a career in some aspect in the fighting sport other than fighting in general (didn't want to ruin my face). I'm currently enrolled at Southeastern Louisiana University working towards a degree in Communication. I cover MMA, Boxing and Football for The Daily Star newspaper in my hometown of Hammond, Louisiana, in addition to working as a promotional writer for a local Boxing promotion known as BoxnCar and I cover boxing for 8countnews.com however SciFighting.com is my home. My main goal is to bring more publicity to MMA in my area and to the sport as a whole as all of us involved with the sport are merely scratching the surface and laying the foundation of what mixed martial arts competition will be further down the road.

People can say what they want about Tyson, he in his prime one of the best ever. Used for money & lived a very hard life. I can relate to the way he grew up, I myself grew up in foster care and very poor family, also turned to Martial Arts as a way to escape & lay my foundation for the way I would live. While Tyson did not live as a pure Martial Artist way he was very Iconic to my life, some one I looked up to as a window to the sport. Tyson never did wrong in my eyes, while its no excuse, he was a product of his environment & media.
