Is War Machine Cowering in Protective Custody?

A recent tip from a confidential source has suggested that War Machine (Jon Koppenhaver) requested to be moved into protective custody after spending only two hours in a regular quad at the Ventura County Jail.  It is unknown exactly why this request was made, although the prevailing theory is he did not feel safe where he was currently held.  Koppenhaver currently awaits extradition to Nevada though it’s unknown how long that process will take.

Given the antagonism generated by crimes against women and children these sort of offenders are sometimes held separately from the general population for their own safety, thus the story does seem plausible.  Though it also contradicts the tough guy demeanor that Jon Koppenhaver has portrayed in the eyes of his fans, in the cage and through social media in the past.

While much of the media has sensationalized the events leading up to his arrest, there is still a great deal we do not know.  Facts specific to the case have yet to be revealed and due to the intimate an tumultuous nature of some of the elements of the crime it is possible the court may be sealed to family only during his hearing.

We will do our best to provide you with updates as they become available.
