Legacy FC 33 was full of shocking turn of events from a former WEC vet making his 2 year return, and maybe anoter addition from the Legacy roster making his way to the UFC roster.
In the Co-Main event of the evening, Marcus Hicks (11-3) fell victim to the Black Zillian standout Kamaru Usman (4-1) who utilized his 10 inch reach advantage and almost a foot height advantage to absolutely pound out the WEC veteran who maybe considering retirement after this defeat.
Then in the Main Event contest the story was how if Legacy FC Featherweight Champion, Leonard Garcia (18-11-1) were to defeat bjj ace Damon Jackson (8-0) then Garcia would get his call from Joe Silva. Garcia had gone 3-0 with 3 tkos in the promotion and one more victory would have his papers signed and sealed to grant him entrance back into the octagon.
But that wasn’t the case.
Damon Jackson, a Dallas native went in there and took care of business by tapping out Garcia in under 2 minutes via a head arm choke and possibly granting himself a ticket to the UFC octagon with the victory.
