135lb Bantamweight Bout; George Pacurariu (5-3) vs Kashiff Solarin (3-8)

Round 1:  George leads with a doube jab and narrowly misses a hard right hook then Kashiff lands a leg kick and circles around. George lands a body kick and an overhand left but eats a body kick. Pacurariu lands a right upper cut followed by a body kick then lands an overhand right and another body kick. Then drama ensued as Kashiff was nailed in the nads and had to take time to recover. Immediately when time is restarted Solarin nails George in the nuts and again time is called. Then George came out angry and lands double jabs and then an overhand right followed by a hard take down to plant Kashiff and picks him up one more time for good measure right before the end of the round.

Round 2: Solarin kicks the leg of George but eats a face full of a spinning back fist. Kashiff backs George against the cage but Pacurariu lands a wicked Judo throw that bonks Solarin’s head off of the mat and George takes his place in guard. George easily transitions to take Solarin’s back and gets a quick rear naked choke tapout.

Official Decision: George Pacurariu def. Kashiff Solarin via submission (RNC) at 3:36 of Round 2.

Highly passionate MMA Journalist, and I've followed the sport ever since my favorite fighter, Vitor Belfort won the heavyweight tournament at UFC 12. After that I've tried to go to every local MMA event around the Gulf Coast and surrounding areas and decided to make it a point to have a career in some aspect in the fighting sport other than fighting in general (didn't want to ruin my face). I'm currently enrolled at Southeastern Louisiana University working towards a degree in Communication. I cover MMA, Boxing and Football for The Daily Star newspaper in my hometown of Hammond, Louisiana, in addition to working as a promotional writer for a local Boxing promotion known as BoxnCar and I cover boxing for 8countnews.com however SciFighting.com is my home. My main goal is to bring more publicity to MMA in my area and to the sport as a whole as all of us involved with the sport are merely scratching the surface and laying the foundation of what mixed martial arts competition will be further down the road.
