“Killa B” Ben Saunders (16-6-2) pays his rent in the spotlight.

Saunders is a 7 time UFC veteran and a 10 time Bellator veteran, including making it to the finals of the Bellator Welterweight Tournament twice, in seasons 5 and 8.

He will make his awaited Titan Fighting debut on August 22nd for the Titan 29 event, headlining the card against another UFC veteran, Matt Riddle (8-3) in what promises to be the fan-friendiest fight of the summer, not to mention it’s for the Titan Fighting Championship Welterweight Title.

Saunders has been preparing hard for this fight and is passionate about his match-up as he looks to solve the Riddle.

“Training is going great, I’m trying to get that belt. It’s going to be my first 5 rounder so I’m trying to get my cardio where it needs to be. I’m working my wrestling a lot considering who my opponent is.”

Riddle was a New York State wrestling champion and a National Wrestling Champion in his senior year of high school.

“I was excited and really just straight pumped, because this fight to me is more than just the title. It’s really cool to get an opponent like Riddle, when you’re outside of the best MMA organization-the UFC- it’s cool to get that big of caliber of opponent like Matt and it will be an honor to fight him.”

Like all outside of the UFC they look to catch their stride again and what better place than the “Fan Fighters First” promotion like Titan FC?

“For sure i want to get back to the UFC, back when i got cut, I put out a post that promised my fans that I’d be back. Most people thought I was cut too soon and I got the experience I needed and I strive to fight the best in the world. I have quite a few years left to put a stamp on my career.”

In Saunders’s last 2 UFC fights he lost to Jon Fitch and Dennis Hallman, and going into those bouts Ben had 11 total pro MMA fights.

His opposition? 91.

You decide if he was cut early.

Although he’s not sold on a rematch with them two or hardly anyone else.

“At this point any rematch doesn’t matter, I used to want to rematch anybody that beat me. Now my only aspirations are to be back in the UFC,and most of those guys I lost to aren’t there.”

Hallman and Fitch are both in WSOF, Douglas Lima and Bryan Baker are in Bellator and Mike Swick hasn’t fought in 2 years.

“When anybody beat me they were always really respectful about it, if any guy talked trash to me then I’d go out of my way to to beat them. Realistically I’ve only lost to 5 guys, so I’ve pretty much moved on.”

Saunders has seen this fight end in more alternate endings than an extra features blu-ray dvd.

“The fight with Riddle could go so many ways. He’s scrappy and he likes to bang. He’s a great wrestler but I’m confident in my striking and my wrestling has improved and I’ve shown that I’m great with my BJJ off my back. So I’m prepared to for anything he brings to the table. It’s a big moment for both of us and win, lose or draw I believe me and him are in the Top 10 fighters that aren’t in the UFC. I’ve visualized ways I can finish him on the feet or finishing him if he takes me or I take him on the ground. It’s a freakin’ awesome match up. I don’t think I’m a good match-up for anybody and it will come down to who wants it more.”

The Fans and Fighters wanted the fight, Titan delivered again and it all goes down August 22nd on CBS Sports.
