Mega stars like Guida and Faber receive their next opponents and upcomer Soa Palaei will know his next opposition as well as 2 winners of Titan 28 from Friday.
UFC 175 will see former WEC champion, Urijah Faber (30-7) take on “Bruce Leeroy” Alex Caceres (10-5). Faber most recently lost a UFC Bantamweight Title affair with current champion Renan Barao via TKO in the first at the main event of UFC 169. Alex hasn’t lost in 5 straight fights and dispatched of the heavily touted and brother to Lightweight Champion Anthony Pettis, Sergio Pettis via rear naked choke in the 3rd round at UFC on Fox 10.
In the 43rd edition of Ultimate FIght Night, Soa Palelei (21-3) will look to continue his heavyweight dominance over Jared Rosholt (10-1) in a titanic battle of winning streak stalwarts. Jared has won 6 straight including 2 decision wins in the UFC over Walt Harris at TUFF 18 and Daniel Omielanczuk at UFN 39. Soa has been a bullying behemonth winning 11 knockouts in a row and 3 since his UFC return. He took out Nikita Krylov in the 3rd round at UFC 164, handed Pat Berry his walking papers in the first round at UFN 33 and most recently put Ruan Potts to sleep at UFN 40.
UFC on Fox 12 received an odds on favorite for FOTN when “The Carpenter” Clay Guida (31-14) faces Dennis Bermudez (13-3). Clay recently received a unanimous decision nod over Tatsuya Kawajiri at UFN 39, Dennis “The Menace” is inching ever closer to a 145 pound title shot looking to win his 7th straight since his TUF 14 loss. In his last outing Dennis defeated Jimy Hettes by TKO in round 3 at UFC 171.
After a win this past Friday night by rear naked choke in the 3rd round over William Joplin, Walel Watson (12-7) will now face Titan Fighting prodigy and undefeated Anthony Gutierrez (5-0) who has won all five of his fights under the Titan banner via some form of stoppage. Anthony’s last win was via triangle choke right under a minute in to the first round against Charlie Dubray at TFC 27.
Jason Brilz (22-5-1) defeated Raphael Davis via split decision in the main event of Friday Night’s Titan 28 event and now he will face Vinny Magalhaes (10-7) who was meant to be his original opponent. Vinny is coming off of his second stint in the octagon and Titan Fighting Promoter Jeff Aronson confirmed via twitter that this fight will be for the 205 pound title.
