UFC on Fox 11 Medical Suspensions

The FSAC (Florida State Athletic Commission) has issued several suspensions following the explosive UFC on Fox 11 telecast from Orlando’s Amway Center last Saturday night.

UFC on FOX 11 was headlined by a heavyweight title eliminator bout between Travis Browne and Fabricio Werdum, in which Browne  lost via unanimous decision.

The 3rd ranked UFC heavyweight headlines the list as Travis Browne has received a 90-day suspension upon receiving a cut over his left eye and a broken nose after attending the Muay Thai clinic put on by new number 1 contender Fabricio Werdum.

The 7th ranked UFC Women’s Bantamweight Liz Caramouche got off to a good start in her bout with Miesha Tate, but ended up losing the fight by unanimous decision and losing her privilege to train being suspended indefinitely due to a broken wrist.

Brad Tavares has been suspended 45 days due to lacerations above his eye and on his hairline after his loss to “The Soldier of God” Yoel Romero.

Thiago Alves will be  suspended 21 days due to right hematoma after his successful octagon return victory and fight of the night performance over Seth Baczynski.

Esteven Payan is being suspended 30 days for precautionary reasons after a nasty TKO loss to Alex White in the first round of their featherweight scrap.

Luke Zachrich is also being suspended 30 days also as precautionary measures are put in place after his first round TKO loss to Caio Magalhaes.

Marsid Bektic will be suspended 180 days or until he receives facial CT clearance after narrowly defeating Chas Skelly by majority decision, and Jack May is suspended indefinitely pending neurological clearance after he was TKO’d by Derrick Lewis in a heavyweight clash.
