UFC Fight Night 39 goes live with prelims this morning at 12:15 PM ET/9:15 AM PT that are headlined by a heavyweight clash between rising prospects Jared Rosholt and Daniel Omielańczuk. Rosholt will be making his sophomore appearance in the UFC after defeating Walt Harris by unanimous decision. Prior to signing with the UFC, Rosholt was widely thought of as the top heavyweight prospect outside of the promotion. Omielańczuk will also be making his second appearance inside the Octagon after knocking out Nandor Guelmino this past September. The Polish fighter is currently riding a 12 fight winning streak.

Also on the preliminary card is former UFC Middleweight Title challenger Thales Leites, who takes on Trevor Smith in the card’s lone bout at 185 pounds. The preliminary card is rounded out with bouts at featherweight and bantamweight. Jim Alers, who was chosen by SciFighting.com as one of the 5 prospects the UFC needs to sign back in January, will make his UFC debut opposite fellow debutant Alan Omer in a featherweight bout. The card’s opening bout will feature Rani Yahya’s return to 135 pounds as he takes on TUF 14’s Johnny Bedford. Daniel Reveles
Born and raised in Santa Barbara, California, Daniel Reveles' interest in Mixed Martial Arts began at the age of fourteen while attending a Fantasy Football draft at a Friend's house. That day Daniel's buddies ordered UFC 88 on Pay-Per-View featuring lauded striker and hometown hero Chuck “The Iceman” Liddell squaring off with Division One Wrestler “Suga” Rashad Evans. After seeing “the wrestler” Rashad Evans put the Ice Man out cold with an overhand right, Daniel became instantly hooked by the unpredictability of the sport. Since that moment Daniel has become well versed in Mixed Martial Arts History and has yet to miss an event. Daniel is currently studying at the University of California Santa Barbara to receive his Bachelor's Degree in Communications with hopes of becoming the next big media mogul. When he is not watching MMA or studying you can find Daniel hanging out with his family and friends or taking in a game at the lovely Dodger Stadium.
