Demetrious “Mighty Mouse” Johnson has a name and a date for his 4th defense of the UFC Flyweight Title.

He will headline UFC 174 on June 14th against Ali Bagautinov (13-2) in a bout between two warriors that haven’t lost a fight in three years time.

The Moscow native, Bagautinov is orchestrating an 11 fight win streak after beginning his career going 2-2, and has won three straight in the octagon to punch his ticket into a title fight. His victims include, Marcos Vinicius whom he defeated by tko at UFC Fight Night in Brazil, then Tim Elliot and John Lineker both by unanimous decision at UFC 167 and 169 respectively.

The 5th ranked pound for pound flyweight champion, Johnson (19-2-1) is looking to improve his 9-2-1 record under Zuffa and extend his winning streak to six. After having his last seven fights go the distance, fans and critics alike were murmuring if Mighty Mouse possessed the ability to finish.

He then put those rumors to bed winning his last two defenses by stoppage over John Moraga by armbar in the 5th round at UFC on Fox in Seattle and by knocking Joseph Benavidez out in the first round at UFC on Fox in Sacremento.

This will be the first time Johnson has appeared on a UFC PPV since UFC 152 nearly two years ago.

UFC 174 takes place at the Rogers Centre in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, on June 14.

Highly passionate MMA Journalist, and I've followed the sport ever since my favorite fighter, Vitor Belfort won the heavyweight tournament at UFC 12. After that I've tried to go to every local MMA event around the Gulf Coast and surrounding areas and decided to make it a point to have a career in some aspect in the fighting sport other than fighting in general (didn't want to ruin my face). I'm currently enrolled at Southeastern Louisiana University working towards a degree in Communication. I cover MMA, Boxing and Football for The Daily Star newspaper in my hometown of Hammond, Louisiana, in addition to working as a promotional writer for a local Boxing promotion known as BoxnCar and I cover boxing for 8countnews.com however SciFighting.com is my home. My main goal is to bring more publicity to MMA in my area and to the sport as a whole as all of us involved with the sport are merely scratching the surface and laying the foundation of what mixed martial arts competition will be further down the road.
