After a long tournament crowned Alexander Gustafsson as the other of the EA Sports UFC cover athlete opposite his former opponent Jon Jones, the cover has been revealed.
Gustafsson beat the likes of Daniel Cormier, Miesha Tate, Chael Sonnen, and finally former welterweight champion Georges St-Pierre to become an EA Sports cover athlete in the historic first game from EA with the UFC license.
This will be the first cover for both athletes but Jones was announced as a definitive cover athlete from the beginning while Gustafsson won the tournament with votes from fans, beating a myriad of the UFC’s most popular fighters.
In a tweet sent out by Bleacher Report’s Jeremy Botter, the cover expected cover was revealed.
The game has no set release date but is expected sometime in Spring of this year.
Already, EA Sports has unveiled several fighters from their upcoming game as well as some gameplay videos, which show off the graphics and fluid movement of the fighters but fail to show any actual gameplay.
They have also been promoting a day-by-day reveal of a mystery fighter, who will be fully unveiled later tonight, but is expected to be martial arts legend Bruce Lee.
