A short round up of only three fights this week, SciFighting promises to keep you as updated as possible when we get word of any announcements.
UFC Fight Night Brazil
Rodrigo Damm (12-6) will enter the octagon with fellow featherweight Rashid Magomedov (16-1) when the UFC returns to Brazil. Damm is in a great place in his career posting a 3-1 record since his entrance into the UFC and has back to back decision wins over Mizuto Hirota and Ivan George. Rashid will look to end Rodrigo’s good fortunes by continuing a 9 fight streak of his own that spans four years, he was last seen having his hand raised over Tony Martin by unanimous decision at UFC 169.
UFC Fight Night 43
On the 43rd UFC Fight Night, “The Thug-jitsu Master” will make his return.
When is the last time anyone has witnessed a boring Yves Edwards (42-20-1-1) fight? Rhetorical question. Edwards will look to get back on the winning track against Piotr Hallman (14-2). Yves has recently dropped a pair of split decisions to Isaac Vallie-Flagg and Daron Cruickshank, and will attempt to engage in a contest that does not make to the scorecards against Hallman. Piotr has other plans as he looks to avoid stringing together back-to-back losses for the only time in his career after dropping his last bout to Al Iaquinta at UFC Fight Night 30.
Nate Jolly (13-5) will make his Bellator debut against lightweight season 9 tournament winner, Will Brooks (13-1). Will looks to keep his active record of fighting alive after fighting an incredible 6 times last year under the Bellator banner going 5-1. Jolly after fighting in a plethora of local promtions, looks to bring all he can to the biggest stage of his career and a pay per view audience.
