The search is over for replacing Vinny Magaelhaes who had to withdraw from the Titan FC 28 main event due to staph infection.
CEO of Titan, Jeff Aronson put on his toolbelt and did his best Bob Vila impression to patch the main event.
The 7 fight UFC vet, Jason Brilz (21-5) will now take on Raphael Davis (13-2) in the main event on April 25th in Kansas City.
Davis has fought in M-1 and has had four fights in the Bellator cage, going 3-1 in the company, he also holds a victory over the fighter he is replacing, Magaelhaes, by submission making Vinny submit verbally at a California event called Valor Fighting in 2008.
Raphael “Noodle” will enjoy a 5 inch height advantage at 6’3 towering over his 5’11 opponent, Brilz.
Dave “Pee-Wee” Herman (21-6) will also have a new participant to duel with in his Co-main event tilt.
Herman was originally scheduled to fight D.J. Linderman, but D.J. was pulled for the Titan 29 card to face the newly signed Walt Harris.
Now the 5 fight UFC vet, Herman, will be squared off with another veteran of 5 fights in the same organization, Kalib Starnes (16-8).
Starnes is in the midst of a 4 fight winning streak and recently knocked out Dwayne Lewis via an elbow strike in his last outing at WSOF 7 in december.
The other fights announced for the card, Ricky Legere vs Todd Moore and Daniel Roberts vs Brock Jardine remain as scheduled.
