Although the cast list (complete with team selections), was leaked months ago, the UFC has officially released the cast for the 19th season of The Ultimate Fighter via press release.

The coaches of this season’s show will be former lightweight champions Frankie Edgar and BJ Penn. They will fight for the third time at the finally of the show, on Sunday, July 6 in the main event of the TUF 19 finale.

Their first two contests were both for the lightweight title as Edgar upset Penn at UFC 112 and defended his belt in a rematch at UFC 118. This fight, however, will be a featherweight competition. Edgar is 1-1 in his featherweight career after debuting with a loss to champion Jose Aldo, and then defeating Charles Oliveira in a ‘Fight of the Night’ winner at UFC 162.

Despite having fought in three weight classes already, the move to featherweight will be a first for Penn who is 1-4-1 in his previous six, with his last win coming over Matt Hughes at UFC 123 in 2010.

Two notable participants on this season are former Cage Warriors champion Cathal Pendred and former Bellator fighter Lyman Good.
