After another memorable fight between Mauricio Rua and Dan Henderson, the pair shared thanks over Twitter following another brutal war.

While Rua (22-9) dropped Henderson (30-11) badly in the first two rounds each, Henderson roared back with a right hand that broke Rua’s nose and sent him rolling backwards. Rua was badly hurt by the patented ‘H-bomb’ that somehow still finds its home on Henderson’s opponents chin or in this case, nose.

Rua had been tagged in the first round but had around eight minutes of dominance on Henderson until the short hook landed.

The loss brought Rua’s UFC record to 6-7 and helped Henderson win his first fight in the previous four, this one included. It marked the last bout for Henderson to use TRT with an exempt license as the UFC will regulate use outside of the country as they act as their own governing body, overlooking drug testing.

Henderson responded with a message of his own to Rua, thanking him for being such a game opponent and complimenting their first fight with another brawl, with this one ending in a finish.
