UFC Fight Night 37 brought the promotion back to London for a card headlined by a top contender in the light heavyweight division and a fast rising prospect. The contender, Alexander Gustafsson, won the fight via TKO in the second round against Jimi Manuwa and didn’t miss a beat in telling the division that he is of a higher class of competitor.

The co-main event was a contest of two former training partners. Michael Johnson fought Melvin Guillard and stuck to a game plan that ensured a big win for him over a tough opponent in Guillard. That makes three straight for Johnson against stiff competition. Don’t be surprised to see a big step up for him in his next outing.
