Marlon Moraes is poised to become the first ever World Series of Fighting bantamweight champion as he awaits a March 29th bout with Josh Rettinghouse at WSOF 9.
Since joining the WSOF, Moraes has gone undefeated with four straight victories including wins over former WEC champ Miguel Torres, and knockout wins over prospect Tyson Nam and most recently, Carson Beebe.
His next fight opposite Rettinghouse takes place at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Paradise, Nevada.
Below, Moraes (12-4-1) talks about the challenges he faced in becoming a mixed martial artist and what he strives for as he continues his career.
