Semifinal: Sahak Parparyan vs. Jason Wilnis

Round 1: Parparyan was loading up much more with his strikes while Wilnis was setting up his with complimentary kicks and punches from all different angles. Wilnis was very active in the pocket. Parparyan though made better use of the strikes that actually landed and although he took a bit of punishment to the legs and body, the fight was still well within his grasp.

Round 2: Parparyan went to the body in round 2 and even if Wilnis won, they would certainly hinder his performance in the finals, if only based on the thud they made when they hit. Wilnis would pitter-patter the guard of Parparyan in an attempt to score points with activity instead of trying to really put Parparyan away.

Round 3: Parparyan took advantage of the fatigue of Wilnis and went to work on stealing the fight. Wilnis’ pop was all but gone and Parparyan never let up on his body either striking their a few consecutive times or finishing combinations to the head, with a digging hook to the body.

Official Result: Sahak Parparyan defeats Jason Wilnis via Split Decision (29-28, 28-29, 29-28)

Semifinal: Dustin Jacoby vs. Alex Pereira

Round 1: Pereira showed a nice, versatile arsenal against Jacoby who stuck to the basics. Jacoby was the slower of the two but tried to post up and jab Pereira but he was caught with a big shot. Pereira sensed it and came in to finish. Jacoby did well to find his footing but as he backed against one of the corners and tried to counter, he was leveled with a left hook that rattled his head and sent him crashing to the mat.

Official Result: Alex Pereira defeats Dustin Jacoby via Knockout (punch) at 2:02 of Round 1.
