The Ultimate Fighter China Finale Preliminary Card Results

Before the first Ultimate Fighter China winner is crowned, catch all of the Ultimate Fighter China Finale preliminary results here.

Headlining the prelims will be a lightweight bout between Kazuki Tokudome and Yui Chul Nam. Tokudome is 12-4-1 in his MMA career and is looking to rebound from a unanimous decision loss to Norman Parke. Nam is 17-4-1 and will be making his UFC debut.

The prelims begin at 6:20 PM ET/3:20 PM PT and will air on UFC Fight Pass. Follow this post to be updated on all of the preliminary card action.

Preliminary Card (UFC Fight Pass), 6:20 PM ET/3:20 PM PT

Featherweight Bout: Jumabieke Tuerxun (14-1) vs. Mark Eddiva (6-0)

Round 1: Eddiva is the quicker stirker early. He hit Tuerxun with a big over hand right. Tuerxun just smiles. Eddiva catches a kick from Tuerxun and cracks him with a few right hands before taking the fight to the ground. Eddiva ripping shots to the body from half-guard. Tuerxun was able to get up for a split second but Eddiva took him right back down. Eddiva landing some nice rand hands and knees to the body on the ground. Tuerxun gets up to his feet but is unable to circle off of the cage. Eddiva is staying busy against the cage, constantly landing punches, elbows, and knees. The round ends with Eddiva holding Tuerxun against the cage. SciFighting scores the round 10-9 Eddiva.

Round 2: Eddiva opens up the second round with a nice leg kick. Tuerxun shoots for a takedown against the cage but gets stuffed. Eddiva reverses position and pushes Tuerxun against the cage.  Eddiva is smashing Tuerxun with knees and punches against the cage. Tuerxun is able to get off the cage. Tuerxun shoots for a takedown but takes a knee to the face for his efforts. Fighters back to the center of the cage. Eddiva hits Tuerxun with a leg kick as he shoots for a takedown. Tuerxun lands the take down and works to half-guard. Eddiva tries to works his way back up while against the cage and is able to push Tuerxun back against the cage. The fighters separates the men and restarts them in the center of the cage. The round ends with Eddiva landing a double-leg takedown. SciFighting scores the round 10-9 Eddiva (20-18 Eddiva).

Round 3: Eddiva opens up the first round with a heavy leg kick. Tuerxun is looking to land a homerun shot with his right hand. Eddiva shoots for a takedown but misses and almost has his back taken. Eddiva reverses position and pushes Tuerxun back to the cage. Tuerxun drops to a knee and appears to get hit with an illegal knee. Tuerxun shoots for a takedown but ends up on bottom. Eddiva working from the guard. Tuerxun trying to lock up a triangle with a minute left!  Eddiva is able to escape but allows Tuerxun to get back to his feet while doing so. Eddiva stuffs a Tuerxun takedown and ends the round kneeing Tuerxun against the cage. The last knee drops Tuerxun to the ground and he’s in bad shape after the fight. Result: Mark Eddiva def. Jumabieke Tuerxun via unanimous decision (30-27, 30-27, 30-27)

Welterweight Bout: Albert Cheng (2-4) vs. Anying Wang (2-0)

Round 1: Cheng presses forward with punches to open the bout. Anying whiffs on a big kead kick but lands a nice leg kick. The men trade blows in close with each man landing a few nice punches. Cheng jumps forward and lands a nice straight right hand. Anying counters with a solid lead left hook after Cheng charges in with punches. Boos begin to rain down on the cage after a period of inactivity. The fighters respond with a huge flurry of violence. Anying lands a big head kick, Cheng fires back with a looping right hand. Cheng shoots for a takedown but gets stuffed. Anying ends the round sprawled above Cheng. SciFighting scores the round 10-9 Anying.

The Doctor stops the fight in-between rounds. Cheng’s right eye is completely shut.

Result: Anying Wang def. Albert Cheng via TKO (Doctor Stoppage) at 5:00 of Round 1.

Bantamweight Bout: Nam Phan (18-13) vs. Vaughan Lee (14-9-1)

Round 1: Vaughne Lee opens up the bout in the southpaw stance. Lee the aggressor thus far, hitting the orthodox Phan consistently with the left hand. Lee rips a right hand to the body. Lee looks great thus far. Lee is just teeing off on Phan with punches. Phan shoots for a takedown but gets stuffed. Lee is standing in front of Phan with his hands down but is the one landing shots. Lee ends the round whacking Phan with punch after punch. SciFighting scores the round 10-9 Lee.

Round 2: Lee opens up the bout feinting with the front kick. Phan responds with a leg kick of his own. Lee nearly lands a spinning wheel kick. Phan shoots for a single leg takedown but is unable to do anything with it. Lee is landing his jab with ease. A nice left hand lands for Lee. Phan has the reach advantage in this bout but is unable to find the right distance. Phan lands a nice combination against the cage. Lee lands a nice body-head punch combination. A flick jab from Lee snaps back the head of Phan. The round ends there. SciFighting scores the round 10-9 Lee (20-18 Lee).

Round 3: Phan’s corner told him he needs a finish in-between rounds. Let’s see how that changes the complexion of this fight. Phan shoots for a single leg takedown but gets stuffed. As Phan was exiting the takedown, Lee rocked him with a hard left hand. Phan recovers and starts to throw combinations. Lee fires back with a straight left that lands. Flying knee from Lee that misses. Lee hits Phan with a front side kick to the midsection. Lee lands a body shot and follows it up with a hard leg kick. Lee is teeing off on Phan with 45 seconds left. Spinning back kick from Lee lands against the cage. The fight ends with Phan shooting for a takedown against the cage. Lee looked phenomenal. SciFighting scores the round 10-9 Lee and the fight 30-27 Lee.

Result: Vaughn Lee def. Nam Phan via unanimous decision (30-27, 30-27, 30-26)

Lightweight Bout: Kazuki Tokudome (12-5-1) vs. Yui Chul Nam (18-4-1)

Round 1: Nam runs in and takes the center of the Octagon. Nam throwing heavy leather early! Tokudome’s legs buckled! Tokudome survives and pushes Nam against the cage. Name separates and smashes Tokudome with a right hand. Tokudome is in serious trouble. Nam unloads against the cage but Tokudome is somehow able to survive. Nam clinches up with Tokudome as the pace has slowed. Tokudome separates but gets dropped by a huge right hand! Nam landing shots from Tokudome’s guard. Tokudome is looking for an armbar but is getting smashed by hammerfists. Tokudome lets go of the armbar. Nam is absolutely trashing Tokudome on the ground. Punches, elbows, everything. Tokudome scoots back to the feet, returns to his feet, and pushes Nam against the cage. Tokudome flurries on Nam against the cage. Nam is rocked! Nam hits the takedown. Tokudome gets to his feet but is greeted by a huge left hand from Nam. Nam puts Tokudome on his seat with a right hook! The round ends with Nam sprawling on a Tokudome takedown. Tokudome is wearing it folks. SciFighting scores the round 10-8 Nam.

Round 2: Tokudome opens up the round with a huge takedown! Nam may have tired himself out going for broke in the first round. Tokudome is trying to take Nam’s back. Tokudome is peppering Nam with shots on the ground. Nam may be tiring out here. Tokudome has landed about 50 unanswered strikes here, but they’re not hard punches. Nam shifts his hips and Tokudome ends up in half-guard. Tokudome is landing short elbows to end the round. Nam had nothing left in that round. SciFighting scores the round 10-9 Tokudome (19-18 Nam).

Round 3: Tokudome is the fresher fighter to start round three. Tokudome rocks Nam with a head kick, but Nam fires back with a left that rocks Tokudome! Tokudome shoots for a takedown and lands it against the cage. This fight is crazy. Tokudome moves to half-guard. Nam works his way back to his feet. Tokudome is holding a headlock against the cage. Tokudome tries to get a takedown but ends up on the bottom. Nam working from half-guard. Tokudome up to his feet. The men exchange punches. Nam shoots for a takedown and gets it. Tokudome gets back to his feet with thirty seconds left in the round. Nam lands some knees and punches with his back against the cage. Tokudome lands a takedown to end the third round. Super close round. SciFighting scores the round 10-10 and the fight 29-28 Nam.
