It’s becoming old news already in 2014.
Bellator announces big news and big business. They began the year by rolling out card after card of title fights and tournaments along with broadcasting expansions in the Middle East and North Africa, and an earlier release of Bellator card on FOX Sports in Latin America.
The latest in their expansion is a deal with Monster Energy who has become the ‘Official Energy Drink Partner’ of Bellator. They will begin their partnership publicly during Bellator 110 where their banners and logo integration will be present.
“When sponsorship opportunities arise like the Monster Energy alliance, fighter involvement is paramount,” Bellator Chairman & CEO Bjorn Rebney said. “Bellator’s talent connects with Monster’s brand identity and as this partnership continues to develop, you will see more Bellator fighters have the opportunity to be involved with the Monster Energy brand. This benefits our fighters both financially and from an exposure perspective. It really is a win-win for everyone involved.”
Along with the news, the press release was accompanied by a photo of new Bellator import and newest Monster Athlete Quinton ‘Rampage’ Jackson, fully clad in Monster Energy gear.
Rebney also explained why they teamed up with Monster in an effort to capitalize on their demographic. “Monster Energy is a global brand that will have great impact throughout all aspects of Bellator live events and programming as our official energy drink partner,” Rebney said. “Monster Energy is seamlessly connected to the male demographic that consumes Bellator on a weekly basis. The synergy in both brands is dynamic and our fans will experience a unified integration between Monster Energy and Bellator beginning on February 28th and over the coming year.”
