Every fighter on the UFC Fight Night 36 card from Feb. 15th has come back negative. The Comissao Atletica Brasileira de MMA (CABMMA) or Brazilian MMA Athletic Commission announced the news that each of the 24 fighters on the card had passed. UFN 36 took place at the Arena Jaragua in Jaragua, Brazil.
The main event was a middleweight bout between former UFC light heavyweight champion Lyoto Machida and former Strikeforce light heavyweight champion Gegard Mousasi. Machida was in control for the majority of the fight and walked away with a unanimous decision victory.
With the win, Machida has poised himself for a middleweight title shot pending his foot injury. He will have to wait until the UFC 173 co-main event between Chris Weidman and Vitor Belfort before he steps back in the cage if he decides to wait for a title shot.
The co-main event was another middleweight bout which helped to effectively shape the division’s top-10. Ronaldo Souza defeated Francis Carmont to extend his UFC win streak to 3-0 and placed him on the cusp of a title eliminator bout.
None of the fighters on the main card have previously failed drug tests in their careers.
