Nobody has come close to beating Ronda Rousey.

Whenever Rousey competes, it’s always been a question of “when” will she win, not “if” she will win. As the reigning UFC champion approaches her tenth career bout, the list of potential challengers to her title is dwindling. Who could possibly match-up with the undefeated Rousey? Take a look below at the three women who could give Rousey a good fight.

Alexis Davis

Alexis Davis had largely flown under the MMA radar due to her soft spoken style and laid back attitude. That all changed in her post-fight interview after her win against Jessica Eye. The usually quiet Davis pulled no punches and asked to fight whoever was the champion. While most call-outs result in a one-sided beat down, Davis has the ability to give Rousey fits in the cage. Davis has a black belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and has never been submitted in an MMA match. As most fans know, Rousey’s main weapon is her armbar. A high level grappler like Davis could take away Rousey’s go-to technique and make the fight very interesting. Davis’ striking is a bit rudimentary, but the same can be said about Rousey. The oddsmakers would install Rousey as a big favorite in this fight but Davis would be a very live underdog.

Cat Zingano

Cat Zingano was on her way to a title fight against Rousey before an unfortunate knee injury forced her to withdraw. Zingano is a huge threat to Rousey as she is easily the most powerful striker in the division. In addition to her power, Zingano is also one of the best female technical strikers. The combination of power and technique could prove to be a nightmare for Rousey. Take a look back at Zingano’s UFC debut against Miesha Tate. After a competitive first two rounds, Zingano absolutely floored Tate in the third with a bevvy of knees. If Zingano is able to land one of those knees against Rousey, we could see a new UFC champion.

Cristiane ‘Cyborg’ Justino

The one woman with the best chance of dethroning Ronda Rousey would have to be Cristiane ‘Cyborg’ Justino (formerly known as Cristiane Cyborg Santos). One of Rousey’s biggest weaknesses is her boxing defense. In her efforts to clinch with her opponents, Rousey often gets tagged multiple times by punches before eventually locking up with her foe. If Rousey left those openings for Cyborg she would likely be knocked out. The only obstacle for this superfight to happen is Cyborg’s weight. Cyborg has never fought below 145 lbs but recently announced that she is moving to 135 lbs. If Cyborg can make it down to 135, she could very well strip Rousey of the UFC title.

Daniel Reveles
Born and raised in Santa Barbara, California, Daniel Reveles' interest in Mixed Martial Arts began at the age of fourteen while attending a Fantasy Football draft at a Friend's house. That day Daniel's buddies ordered UFC 88 on Pay-Per-View featuring lauded striker and hometown hero Chuck “The Iceman” Liddell squaring off with Division One Wrestler “Suga” Rashad Evans. After seeing “the wrestler” Rashad Evans put the Ice Man out cold with an overhand right, Daniel became instantly hooked by the unpredictability of the sport. Since that moment Daniel has become well versed in Mixed Martial Arts History and has yet to miss an event. Daniel is currently studying at the University of California Santa Barbara to receive his Bachelor's Degree in Communications with hopes of becoming the next big media mogul. When he is not watching MMA or studying you can find Daniel hanging out with his family and friends or taking in a game at the lovely Dodger Stadium.
