Tomorrow, UFC Fight Night 36 takes place with one of the most anticipated fights of the year as former UFC light heavyweight champion Lyoto Machida (20-4) takes on former Strikeforce light heavyweight champion Gegard Mousasi (34-3-2).

The bout has heavy title implications and is, on paper, a fight fan’s dream.

The co-main event was also a middleweight bout as former Strikeforce middleweight champion Ronaldo ‘Jacare’ Souza (19-3) fights Francis Carmont (22-7) for a bump up the crowded middleweight rankings. A welterweight bout was also on the main card as top-prospect Erick Silva (15-4) sought redemption in the division after suffering a knockout loss in his last fight which sent him plummeting down the ladder. He will fight Takenori Sato (17-8-7) who stepped up to replace an injured Nate Loughran.

UFC Fight Night 36 takes place at the Arena Jaragua in Jaragua do Sul, Brazil.

In the end, all 24 fighters made weight with just one, Maximo Blanco (9-5-1), missing the mark on his first attempt but making weight on his second.
