She’s the hottest thing going in MMA. Now Ronda Rousey wants to be like the hottest thing in pro wrestling for more than 20 years.
“Rowdy” Ronda Rousey wants to be like “The Nature Boy” Ric Flair. Well they both have blonde hair, both are tan and both know how to play heel and fire up the crowd.
Rousey lives with Shayna Baszler, Jessamyn Duke and Marina Shafir and the female fighters have decided to become the female version of classic NWA and WCW faction, The Four Horseman, led Flair, along with Double A Arn Anderson, Barry Windham and Tully Blanchard.
Flair was the most dominant professional wrestler for more than 20 years. He was brash, cocky, confident and a sex symbol. Sound familiar? He also won everyone of his matches by submission, via the classic figure-four-leg lock. Flair won the championship 16 times and is widely regarded as the greatest professional wrestler of all time.
Rousey, confident, brash and a standout in the world of MMA, is well on her way to becoming a legend. Rousey is 8-0 and has won every one of her matches by arm bar submission. The UFC bantamweight women’s champion will fight Sara McMann on Feb. 22 for the title.
Rousey said she and her housemates watch WWE Monday Night Raw and that the house has been converted into a wrestling house. Rousey got her nickname “Rowdy” from pro wrestling icon “Rowdy” Roddy Piper.
