Finalized Bellator 113 Card Includes Opening Rounds of Season 10 Lightweight Tournament

Emanuel Newton and Bellator Light Heavyweight champion Attila Vegh headlines a completed Bellator 113 card that includes four opening-round matches from the promotion’s lightweight tournament.

Vegh, who defeated Newton via unanimous decision at Bellator 72, looks to unify the title with a win over Newton. Newton won the interim belt with a second victory over Muhammed ‘King Mo’ Lawal at Bellator 106. The Slovakian Vegh hasn’t competed since he defeated Christian M’Pumbu last February but hasn’t lost since 2010.

Brandon Girtz and Derek Campos kick off Bellator’s semi-annual lightweight tournament as they conclude the event’s preliminary card. Three other tournament matches follow, including a match between Brazilian Patricky ‘Pitbull’ Freire and Season 8 lightweight tournament winner David Rickels. Former UFC staple Terry Etim takes on undefeated Derek Anderson in the main card’s opening fight.

Spike TV airs Bellator 113 live from the Kansas Star Arena in Mulvane, Kan. on March 21 while the seven-fight preliminary card will stream on Spike.com.
