GLORY 14’s main event is simply one to watch. The combat sports legend Mirko Cro Cop will make his GLORY debut against Remy Bonjasky (98-12). This is a rematch of their 2002 K-1 Grand Prix fight in which Mirko Cro Cop (22-7) defeated Bonjasky via TKO from the doctor’s advice.
Joining them on the card is a lightweight title fight between Andy Ristie (41-3-1) and Ky Hollenbeck (46-3). Ristie famously dethroned Giorgio Petrosyan at GLORY 12: New York in the opening round of their lightweight tournament. He went on to win the tournament with a knockout over Robin van Roosmalen. Hollenbeck also fought on GLORY 12 and defeated Warren Stevelmans by decision.
A middleweight tournament will also take place on the main card as MMA veteran and kickboxing prospect Dustin Jacoby (4-3) will look to rebound from a controversial loss as he fights Alex Pereira (11-1) and #5 battles #6 as Sahak Parparyan (40-10-5) will battle Jason Wilnis (21-3-1)
GLORY 14 is the first event from the promotion in 2014. It takes place at the Arena Zagreb in Zagreb, Croatia on March 8th.
A SuperFight Series card will also take place just before the main card. Just three fights have been added to he SF Series so far:
Michael Duut vs. Igor Jurkovic
Shemsi Beqiri vs. Murthel Groenhart
Karapet Karapetyan vs. Artur Kyshenko
