Whether or not the challenge from the World Series of Fighting was a legitimate one or instead a brilliant PR move, we may never know.

What we do know is that the hatred between Bellator light heavyweight Quinton ‘Rampage’ Jackson and WSOF light heavyweight Tyrone Spong is very real. This bout was put on the proposed WSOF vs. Bellator PPV as a ‘Super Fight’ main event but since Bellator has not responded to the challenge, the hypothetical fight hangs in limbo.

For Spong, a new contract with the WSOF prompted him to call Rampage out for a fight to which Rampage was none too pleased. They went back and forth on Twitter exchanging some pretty nasty dialogue. Ultimately, with Spong having signed a new contract with WSOF, Rampage just one fight in to his Bellator contract and the promotion vs. promotion PPV challenge not being formally accepted by Bellator, this fight could very well disappear in to thin air leaving these two to battle it out over social media.
